My Screenshot of DESKSPACE 1.5.5.4

Here's my screenshot of my DeskSpace 1.5.5.4 installed just this July 2009. Well the software is kinda light weight for my PC and i kinda like it... But what will be its future use for me? Let's see..
DeskSpace 1.5.5.4 download can be found here. A link from my friend.

INFO ABOUT DESKSPACE (Source: Wikipedia.org)

DeskSpace, formerly known as Yod'm 3D (short for Yet anOther Desktop Manager 3D) is a virtual desktop manager available for Windows 2000, XP and Vista. It is not the first program to offer a cube-style virtual desktop management feature on Windows operating systems, but it is believed to be one of the better executions of the idea in the Win32 environment.

It is mainly used by XP users to generate desktop management features which were introduced in Vista.

Features

DeskSpace maps six virtual desktops to a cube and allows the user to switch between them, similar to the cube plugin for the Compiz and Beryl window managers for the X Window System in Linux.[2] It is the first desktop manager that makes this feature available on Microsoft Windows. DeskSpace makes use of and requires DirectX 9[3] in contrast to most other virtual desktop managers that use OpenGL.

It does not require installation to run, and is most commonly distributed as a ZIP archive.

Known limitations

Under version 1.4 it's not possible to change the wallpaper for one of the additional desktops permanently by right-clicking an image file and selecting "set as Desktop Background". One has to change the wallpaper via the Properties dialog.

Desktop icons cannot be arranged for individual sides of the cube. They are the same for all sides.

Yod'm 3D

After the acquisition by Otaku Software, Yod'm 3D (originally from Chris'Soft) changed name to DeskSpace."(July 9, 2007) DeskSpace, unlike its predecessor, is not freeware; however users were encouraged to download and use the last free version v1.4 if they wish to still use it.(July 25, 2007)

Ubuntu CD's for FREE Shipping

Well here it is my Free UBUNTU CD's from UBUNTU.... Thank YOU UBUNTU for the CD's. I have already finished installing UBUNTU and i have found it very useful and an alternative OS for my older OS. I will be sticking on this OS for quite sometime hehe... I know I will be spending some more time using my UBUNTU OS. For those who also want to get a copy of UBUNTU you can grab a copy of UBUNTU @ www.ubuntu.com

Here's a little info about UBUNTU:

Ubuntu (pronounced /uːˈbuːntuː/oo-BOON-too), is a computer operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux. It is distributed as free software. Ubuntu's goals include providing an up-to-date, stable operating system for the average user, with a strong focus on usability and ease-of-installation. Ubuntu has been selected by readers of desktoplinux.com as the most popular Linux distribution for the desktop, claiming approximately 30% of their desktop installations in both 2006 and 2007.

Ubuntu is composed of multiple software packages distributed under either a free software or an open source license. The main license used is the GNU General Public License (GNU GPL) which explicitly declares that users are free to run, copy, distribute, study, change, develop and improve the software. Ubuntu is sponsored by the UK based company Canonical Ltd., owned by South African entrepreneur Mark Shuttleworth. Instead of selling Ubuntu for profit, Canonical creates revenue by selling technical support and from creating several services tied to Ubuntu including Ubuntu One, Landscape and Launchpad. Canonical is yet to turn profitable, however. By keeping Ubuntu distribution itself free software and open source, Canonical is able to take advantage of the talents of outside developers in Ubuntu's constituent components without developing the entire operating system itself (which is based primarily on current Linux kernels).

Canonical endorses and provides support for four additional Ubuntu-like operating systems: Kubuntu, Xubuntu, Edubuntu (a subproject and add-on for Ubuntu, designed for school environments and home users), and Ubuntu JeOS (pronounced "Juice", a stripped-down version of Ubuntu optimized for virtual appliances).

Canonical releases new versions of Ubuntu every six months and supports Ubuntu for eighteen months by providing security fixes, patches to critical bugs and minor updates to programs. LTS (Long Term Support) versions, which are released every two years, are supported for three years on the desktop and five years for servers. The current version of Ubuntu, 9.04, was released on April 23, 2009, and the upcoming version, Karmic Koala, is planned to be released on October 29, 2009.
